This role is on a mobile unit north of Manchester, candidates will be required to travel to Oldham, Bolton and Rochdale to undertake their shifts (they will not be required to travel during their shifts) therefore a car and driving licence is essential. To provide support to the registered nurse and other members of the multi-disciplinary team in providing a safe and caring environment in which to meet patients needs. Job description This role is on the Manchester CATS mobile North unit, candidates will be required to travel to Oldham, Bolton and Rochdale to undertake their shifts (they will not be required to travel during their shifts) therefore a car and driving licence is essential. To provide support to the registered nurse and other members of the multi-disciplinary team in providing a safe and caring environment in which to meet patients needs. Principal Duties and Responsibilities • To provide nursing care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and support the multi-disciplinary team members in the implementation of care. • To promote safe patient care and to be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery. • To actively participate as a member of a team, communicating with patients and colleagues. Sharing information and appropriately reporting to enable transmission, working at all times with others to achieve the organisations goals. • Continuously recognise and give priority to the needs of patients, maintaining respect, dignity and an individualised approach to patient services. • Demonstrate respect and a professional approach towards patients, their families and other professionals. • Respect client confidentiality and privacy and adhere to current policies. • To participate in discussions at staff meetings and assist in the training and orientation of support staff and new members of the team. • To provide support to direct, or indirect patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, reporting problems at all times to the registered nurse. • To be aware of, and comply with, the Health and Safety at Work Act reporting all accidents/incidents. • To assist the team in achieving the optimal outcome for patient care. Desirable Qualifications • Willingness to undertake study for NVQ Level 3. • GCSE/O Levels, CSE’s (or equivalent.). Essential Qualifications • Level 2 NVQ Qualification. Essential Experience • Relevant experience gained in a hospital /outpatient environment. |
