Theatre Scrub Nurses

Our clients are situated all over the UK and are large NHS hospitals with theatres needing general scrub nurses as well as those theatre needing scrub nurses in specific areas such as orthopaedics, cardio-thoracics etc. Hospitals in the private sector and other organisations often require scrub nurses with orthopaedics specifically, or request general scrub nurses but who are dominant in orthopaedic scrub techniques. Job Details Up to date working skills in your chosen area. Job descriptions and key responsibilities will vary minimally in these roles and will be determined by the employing hospital/organisation Qualifications Current registration with the NMC at RN level 1 Newly qualified scrub nurse with a recognised certificate will be considered Ideally you will have a minimum of 1 year theatre scrub experience in all disciplines Skills/Experience Up to date skills and knowledge in theatre department Care of the patient in the anaesthetic and recovery room as required Evidence of clinical update and knowledge of the implications of PREP Flexible and adaptable Resilient to stressful situations Customer and patient focussed Excellent inter personal skills Benefits Varies with organisation but usually:- Medical Insurance Competitive salary Training and Professional Development opportunities
