Senior Staff Nurse / Scrub Practitioner - Major General Surgery and Hepatobiliary Surgery

Our private client in London is an acute, independent non-profit making hospital. Their friendly, well-established team is seeking experienced nurses to join them. Successful individuals will need to be motivated, dynamic and innovative, while possessing excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

Job Details
They require a motivated, experienced and modern senior scrub nurse /practitioner to join the surgical team, specialising in complex major general / liver surgery. This is a busy and dynamic operating theatre department providing a service to many eminent surgeons. They will soon be undertaking Living related Liver Transplantation and experience in this field or similar, is necessary.

The department undertakes a very wide variety of other complex and routine specialist procedures, incorporating the latest in developing technologies, employing, supporting and aiming to retain skilled and professional staff. You will work in direct alignment with organisational goals as well as supporting and developing individual personal development plans. You will be a team leader and plan and execute the day-to-day theatre work along with other senior staff. You should be a team player, competent in all complex major surgery and able to lead by example. You will be registered with the NMC. The scrub nurse /practitioner practices alongside the Consultant Surgeon, and is a skilled, knowledgeable, qualified and competent practitioner, whose role is to provide and maintain a safe perioperative environment for patients.

Qualifications
You will be registered with the NMC as a RN1.
